Oklahoma State RB Ollie Gordon II Arrested for Suspected DUI

Oklahoma State star running back Ollie Gordon II was arrested Sunday morning on suspicion of driving under the influence, confirmed by Oklahoma Highway Patrol to ESPN.

According to the probable cause affidavit, troopers pulled Gordon over in the Oklahoma City area after observing him swerve into the adjacent lane twice and drive 17 miles per hour over the 65 mph speed limit.

During the stop, a trooper detected the smell of alcohol in Gordon's vehicle. Gordon admitted to having open bottles of vodka and tequila, both of which were found partially consumed according to the affidavit. Initially, Gordon refused to take a sobriety test. He was arrested and faces charges including DUI, transporting open containers of alcohol, failure to maintain a single lane, and speeding. At the Cleveland County Jail, Gordon's blood alcohol levels were measured at 0.11 and 0.10.

Oklahoma's legal limit for blood alcohol content while driving is 0.08%.

Gordon, who won last season's Doak Walker Award for college football's top running back, led the nation with 1,732 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns.

An Oklahoma State spokesman stated that the university is "aware" of the incident.
